Mechanic Light strips a lamp joint down to its absolute core. Inspired by the precision of watchmaking, camera shutters and classic bicycle hub gears, this design replaces conventional springs and plastic components with a single elegant mechanical principle: interlocking.

Two eccentrically mounted metal rails engage each other through a fine toothed interface. A single pin locks the position.
